Kevin "Coal Train" Ison

Kevin D. "Coal Train" Ison, 53 of Kingscreek, passed away Friday, June 24, 2022 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard, Ky. Kevin was the son of the late Richard and Shirley Day Ison. He is survived by 2 daughters: Kristin Ashley Jane of Grayson and Katelyn Danielle of Somerset; 2 brothers: Jeffrey (Denise) Ison of Somerset and Christopher (Shannon) Auxier of Jackson, TN; 2 sisters: Delana (James) Simpson of Mt Pleasant, SC and Aleesa Ann (Phillip) of Nashville, TN; special sister: Jessica (Toby) Maggard of Kingscreek; longtime friend: Larry Dean Ison along with a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends to mourn his passing. Funeral: 12:00 PM Monday, June 27, 2022 at the Kingscreek Community Church with Jimmy Dotson officiating. Visitation: 6:00 PM Sunday at the Kingscreek Community Church. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery at Whitesburg, Ky.
