Kevin Ray Yonts

Kevin Ray Yonts, 51 years old of Deane, passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Healthcare Center. Kevin was born June 10, 1972 to Dennis and Frances Isaac Yonts of Deane, Ky. Kevin was preceded in death by his grandparents: Lawrence Yonts and Bertha Yonts of Deane, Ky. Ervin and Josie Isaac of Wheelwright, Ky. and wife Missie Fleming Yonts. Kevin was a father of two sons and one daughter: Dakota Yonts of North Carolina, Colt (Hannah) Yonts of Lexington, Ky. and Lindsey Yonts of Deane, Ky. Two grandchildren: River Tate Yonts and Paislee Adams; two brothers: Creg (Tenni) Yonts of Deane, Ky. and Sheldon (Renee)  Yonts of Deane, Ky. One nephew: Skyler (Keisha) Yonts of South Carolina who he loved like a son and grand uncle to Kendrix Eli and Krue Alexander Yonts, Girlfriend: Juanita Rose and her children was dear to his heart and his best friend James Duncil who he loved like a brother along with a host of family and friends. Kevin was a hard worker with a big heart. Kevin was a coal miner for thirty years, a certified EMT, mine foreman, mine superintendent and mine operator. Kevin went back to  school and Manufacturing Solutions for robotics and was working for Roush Yates in North Carolina. Kevin will be missed by all that knew and loved him! Funeral 7:00 O'clock P.M. Saturday, August 5, 2023, at the Hemphill Freewill Baptist Church with Danny Hurst and Mark Wagoner officiating. Visitation 6:00 P.M. - 10:00 P.M. Friday, August 4, 2023, and all day Saturday until 7:00 O'clock P.M. at the Hemphill Freewill Baptist Church. Graveside Service and burial will follow on Sunday, August 6, 2023, at 11:00 O'clock A.M. at the King Cemetery in Kite, Kentucky.
