Lawton Daniel (Pap) Sexton

Lawton Daniel Sexton (aka Pap), age 66, passed away with family at his beside at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard, Kentucky. Born February 6, 1959 to James B. Sexton and Lois Jean Sexton. Besides his parents preceded him in death is his brothers: Donald R. Sexton, Rodney L. Sexton and James Preston Sexton, a brother-in-law: James Richard Amburgey and a sister-in-law:  Faye Sexton. He is survived by 4 sisters: Colletta (Ted) Bates, Nancy, Ky., Brenda (Larry) Caudill, Geneva, Ohio, Linda Amburgey, Independence, Ky., Theresa (Gary) Blair of Cornettsville, Ky.; 1 brother: Billy Dean (Kathy) Sexton of Lebanon, Ohio along with a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. Family will receive friends at 11:00 O'clock A.M. Monday, September 8, 2025 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral will be at 1:00 O'clock P.M. Monday, September 8, 2025 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Phillip Smith, Richard Hampton, Danny Dixon and Johnny Sexton officiating. Burial will be at the Collins Cemetery at Ulvah, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center or Bluegrass Navigators.
