Obituary
Melissa Hamilton, 79 of Blackey, passed away Saturday, August 12, 2023, at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Healthcare Center. Lesa was the daughter of the late Ellis and Bonnie Slone. She was the widow of Clifford Hamilton. Surviving is 2 sons: John Clifford Hamilton and Edgar Ellis Bentley; 5 sisters: Minnie Slone, Brenda Bailey, Sue Manning (Chuck), Linda Amburgey Thomas (James) and Sandra Bailey (Ricky); 2 brothers: Gary Slone (Kay) and Ellis Roy Slone (Loretta) along with a host of loving family and friends. Lesa was preceded in death by 1 son: Ernie Jr. Bentley. Funeral: 1:00 O'clock P.M. Monday, August 14, 2023, at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Sandra Bailey officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Sunday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Bonnie Slone Cemetery at Garner, Kentucky.
