Leslie Sue (Adams) Day, 56 of Cowan, passed away Thursday, February 12, 2026 at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Healthcare Center. Leslie was the daughter of the late Raymond and Thelma Pack Sumpter. Surviving is her husband: Randy Day; 1 son: Brandon (Michela) Adams of Knott County; 2 daughters: Brittney (Roy) Adams Cornett of Linefork and Whittney (Michael) Adams Bentley of Dorton; 1 brother: Raymond Sumpter of McRoberts; 2 sisters: Stephanie Gibson of Cowan and Tiffany Roark of McRoberts; 13 grandchildren: Liam, Kim, Ryder, Tripp, Trinity, Roy Kaleb, Memphis, Gracie, Owen, Keaston, Dustin, Trinton and LeAnn; 1 great grandchild: Brandy. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Monday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel and 9:00 A.M. Tuesday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel.
