Lester Sexton, 72 of Whitesburg, passed away Friday, October 25, 2019 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard, Kentucky. Lester was the son of the late Woorley and Rosanna Maxie Sexton. Surviving is his wife: Phyllis Eldridge Sexton; 1 son: Wesley Sexton of Thornton; 3 daughters: Christine Sexton Bates of Sergent, Mary Ann Sexton of Low Gap, and Margaret Fugate of Mayking; 3 brothers: Harrison Sexton of Millstone, Forrester Sexton of Thornton, and Earl Sexton of Thornton; 1 sister: Helen Craft of Colson; 8 grandchildren: Kierra Bates, Jesse Bates, Avery Mullins, Isaiah Fugate, James Burke, Peyton Burke, Sophia Burke, and Bella Burke. Lester was preceded in death by 1 brother: Raymond Sexton. Funeral: 1:00 O'clock P.M. Monday, October 28, 2019 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation: 4:00 P.M. Sunday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Sexton Family Cemetery at Thornton, Kentucky.
