Linda Lou Baker Lucas went home to be with Jesus the morning of Saturday July 30th in the comfort of her home in Beaver Dam at Colson, Kentucky after a long illness.
She was the daughter of the late Roosevelt and Corsie Slone Baker.
She was preceded in death by her husband Denver “Duke” Lucas, brothers Calvin “Coolie” Baker and Warren Douglas Baker, infant sister Dorothy Ellen Baker, brother-in-law Clester Isaacs, sister-in-law Judith Landrum Baker.
Those left to cherish her beautiful memory are Edsel (Carol) Baker, Ken (Peggy) Baker, Anita Baker (Blaine) Redden, Creda Joyce Baker Isaacs, Janice Isaacs Baker, Chris (Melissa) Baker, Mike (Debbie) Baker and Missy Baker (Ricky) Cook. Grandchildren Cody Cook, Taylor Baker, Jodi Baker and Emery Baker. Uncle Jay Slone and Aunts Lettie Slone Hall and Dixie Slone Watkins. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.
Lou was a friend of many and loved by all. The family appreciates everyone who has been a source of help for her over the past few years.
She was a mother figure to many, even helping raise her younger siblings Chris, Mike and Missy. She adored and spoiled her little dog Tiny.
She enjoyed meeting the needs of people, made sure that anyone who visited her home was fed and shared treasures she found through yard sales and trading with family and friends. This kindness extended beyond her home when she was able to be out and about. She attended Millstone Baptist Church.
Funeral: 7:00 O'clock P.M. Monday, August 1, 2022 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Bill Craft officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Monday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel.
The family asks that Masks be worn at all times.
