Lois B Shortt

Lois B Shortt, 89 of Whitesburg, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at the Elkhorn Health and Rehab Center in Elkhorn City, Kentucky. Lois was the daughter of the late Alvin and Oma Sturgill Bolling. She was the widow of Edmond Shortt. Surviving is 1 son: Tim (Shelia) Shortt of Whitesburg; 1 sister: Faye Profitt of North Carolina; 4 grandchildren: Roy Shortt, Jamie Adams, Tracy Burke, and Jessica Hunt; 16 great grandchildren; 18 great great grandchildren along with a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. Lois was preceded in death by 1 son: Anthony "Tony" Shortt; 2 daughters: Tina Shortt and Terri Shortt; 2 brothers: Burl and Gene; 3 sisters: Lily, Liddi, and Alma; 1 grandson: Oliver Shortt; 1 granddaughter: Terri Shortt Looney; 1 great great granddaughter: Harlow Stewart. Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. - 10:00 P.M. on Friday, June 26, 2026, at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel.
