Mable Adams, 89, of Whitesburg went to her heavenly home Monday, January 27, 2020 at the Letcher Manor Nursing Home. Mable was the daughter of the late Dick and Mattie Adams Collins. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved her Savior, Jesus Christ and her Church. She was a charter Member of the Colson Baptist Mission where she served as a Sunday School Teacher, WMU Director, and VBS teacher. Surviving is her husband: Jack Adams; 1 son: Stephen (Lucretia) Adams; 1 daughter: Monieca (Steve) Hogg; 4 grandchildren: Josh (Blaire) Adams, Andrea (Nick) McGaha, Steven (Sara) Hogg, and Jacqueline (Evan) Egan; 8 great grandchildren. Mable was preceded in death by a daughter: Karen Diane Combs and her husband Homer. Funeral: 11:00 AM Thursday, January 30, 2020 at the First Baptist Church in Whitesburg with Steve Hogg and Tony Brown officiating. Visitation: 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday at the First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Green Acres Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to the Colson Baptist Church or the Whitesburg First Baptist Church.
