Martha Jane (Sexton) Ison

Martha Jane Ison, 85 of Blackey, passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at her residence. Martha was the daughter of the late Charlie and Louise Lucas Sexton. Surviving is her husband: Franklin Ison; 2 sons: Donnie Ray (Sue) Hall and Kenneth Wayne (Janice) Adams; 2 step children: Tammy Bolen (Kenneth Amburgey) and Michael (Jessica) Ison; 3 brothers: Walter Sexton, Garland Sexton, and Bill Sexton; grandchildren: Martha Angel (Tommy), Sabrina Dawn (Mark), Heather Nicole, Nicholas, Lakyn (Cody), Levi (Paige), Luke (Emily), Micha (Tanner), Megan (Skylar), Madison (Aaron), Morgan (Michael), Levi, Lucas, and Jasmine; great grandchildren: Ella, Leo, Liam, Arlo, Lily, Dallie, Eden, and Taylen; special sister in law: Hazel (Roger) Ison along with a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. Martha was preceded in death by a host of brothers and sisters. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 O'clock P.M. on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Roger Bolen and others officiating. Burial will follow in the Hampton Cemetery at Letcher, Kentucky. Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. - 10:00 P.M. on Friday, September 26, 2025, at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel.
