At just 49, Marvin Shade Halcomb, of Roxana Ky. left this world peacefully on Wednesday, May 6, 2026. This was far too soon, but not before he filled our world with laughter, loyalty and unforgettable moments. He was the kind of person who taught you things no one else could. How to stand up for yourself, how to laugh at life, and how to keep going even when things got hard.
He loved dirt track racing, fishing and life, and he approached everything with the same passion he brought to the people he cared about. If he called you family, he meant it.
He is preceded in death by his wife; Jennifer Halcomb, his mother: Glendora Cornett Halcomb, maternal grandparents: Glen and Grace Cornett, paternal grandparents: Jay Halcomb and Carl and Letta Shebler along with a host of other relatives and friends.
He leaves behind 2 sons: Jacob Shade Halcomb and Camron Glen Halcomb both of Roxana, Ky., father: Marvin Halcomb of Ingrams Creek, Ky., 2 sisters: Ashley Shepherd (Josh Baker) of Roxana, Ky., Letta Jade Smith (Brandon Smith) of Clinton, Tn., special niece and nephews that he loved as his own: Dakota Shepherd (Santana Banks) of Isom, Ky., Daelyn Shepherd of Georgetown, Ky., Keauna Shepherd and Kragen Shepherd of Roxana, Ky., who will forever remember his humor, his stubborn streak, and his enormous heart.
