Mary Rosiland (Boyd) Burke

Mary Rosiland (Boyd) Burke, 80 of Whitesburg, passed away Sunday, September 8, 2024, at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Healthcare Center. Mary was the daughter of the late Lester and Mishie Rowe Boyd. She married Bobby Burke on November 26, 1960.  Surviving is 1 son: Stephen (Kristina) Burke of Cynthiana, KY; 1 daughter: Rhonda Maggard (Junior Holbrook) of Whitesburg, KY; 3 grandchildren: Jennifer (Tim) Johnson of Lexington, KY, Amy (Lee) Boyd of Elkhorn City, KY, and Greyson Burke of Cynthiana, KY; 1 great grandchild Peyton Johnson of Lexington, KY; 2 sisters: Barbara Morgan of Whitesburg, KY and Linda Hughes of Isom, KY; 1 brother: Gary Boyd of Whitesburg, KY along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. Mary was preceded in death by her husband: Bobby Burke; 2 sisters: Olene Spangler and Josephine Hollon; 2 brothers: Otitis Boyd and Paul Boyd. Funeral 1:00 O'clock P.M. Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Frank Adams officiating. Visitation 7:00 P.M. - 10:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Morgan Cemetery at Ermine, Kentucky.
