Mary Catherine Cress, 58 of Lafyette, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at her residence. Mary was the daughter of the late Floyd and Nora Hendrix Cress. Surviving is 1 son: Dakota (Sheena) Cress of Georgia; 3 sisters: Shirley Stacy of Warsaw, Kentucky, Linda Hall of Jenkins, and Jackie Linville of Neon; 2 grandchildren: Sophie and Dakota Jr. along with a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. Mary was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Joel Cress and Tommy Cress; 2 sisters: Alpha Pease and Evon Johnson. Funeral 2:00 O'clock P.M. Monday, May 15, 2023, at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Gaddy Hall officiating. Visitation 6:00 P.M. - 10:00 P.M. Sunday, May 14, 2023, at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Cress Linville Cemetery at Crafts Colley, Kentucky.
