Mary (Maggard) Ison

Mary Ison, 82 of Cowan, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2025 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center. Mary was the daughter of the late Marion and Sophia Banks Maggard. She was the widow of Earl Ison. Surviving is 3 daughters: Kat Gross of Sandlick, Shirley Yawn of Sandlick and Sophia Ison of Cowan; 2 sons: David Ison and Joey Ison both of Cowan; adopted son: Darrell Atkins of Richmond; 4 grandchildren: 10 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren: Eric Donnie Sexton and Alexander Clay Lutes. Mary was preceded in death by 2 children: Estella Mae Ison and Bobby Dean Ison; 1 grandson: Kevin Hall; 2 great grandchildren: Eric Ray Sexton and Donnie Ray Sexton II. Funeral: 1:00 O'clock P.M. Monday, February 17, 2025 at the Lighthouse Church with Glen Gross officiating. Visitation: 12:00 Noon Saturday and all day Sunday at the Lighthouse Church. Burial will follow in the Yawn Cemetery at Sandlick, Kentucky.
