Maxine (Smith) Parsons

Maxine Parsons, age 84, passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at her residence in Eolia, Kentucky. Maxine was the daughter of the late George and Bessie Smith of Premium, Kentucky. She is survived by her loving husband and daughter, Dale Parsons and Karen Parsons (Sue Varrechio). 

Maxine had a great love for plants and flowers. She had a great green thumb and could make just about any plant or flower grow to be beautiful. She also enjoyed friends and community.

She is preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Clifford Smith, Clarence Smith, Richard Smith, Roland Smith, Thelma Collins, Georgine Collier, Nelline Frazier, and brother in laws, TJ Parsons and Parnell Parsons.

She is survived by her brother, Raymond Smith and sisters, Lorine Parsons (Loyall Parsons), Christine Shepherd, and Myrtle Little. She is also survived by other close family members, Donnie Parsons (Dreama) and Lena Parsons (late TJ) as well as a host of nieces and nephews and friends to mourn her passing.

Visitation will be held at Letcher Funeral Home Friday, November 17, 2023, at 6 P.M. (5 P.M. for immediate family) with graveside service on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at 1 P.M. at the Colinger Family Cemetery at Eolia, Kentucky.
