May Whitaker Caudill was born April 15, 1941 to the late Alamander and Alice Whitaker. She entered eternal life on October 8, 2019 at the Hazard Appalachian Regional Healthcare Center being 78 years, 5 months, and 23 days of age. May was a retired bus driver. She loved all her days of driving. May is the widow of Demaree Caudill. She leaves behind 4 children: Anthony Wayne Caudill (Tony) of Hallie, Betty Von Caudill (Betts) of Hallie, Billy James and Christy Caudill of Hazard, and Karen Kay Caudill of Hallie; one grandson: Tyler Anthony Caudill of Hallie; one granddaughter: Alice Evelyn Caudill of Hazard along with a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. She loved spending time with her family. May is preceded in death by her parents: Alamander and Alice Whitaker; husband: Demaree Caudill; sisters: Essie Harmon, Roudell Birchfield, Corsie Blair; brothers: Ira Whitaker, Jerry Whitaker, and Glen Whitaker. Funeral: 12:00 O'clock Noon Friday, October 11, 2019 at the Letcher Elementary Gymnasium with Jim Fields and Richard Hampton officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Thursday at the Letcher Elementary Gymnasium. Burial will follow at the Family Home Place at Hallie, Kentucky.
