Mona Kaye (Sumpter) Cornett

Mona Kaye Cornett of Linefork passed away November 17, 2024 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Mona was born April 21, 1971 to the late L.P. and Lena Sumpter. making her stay on earth 53 years 6 months and 27 days of age at he time of her passing. On March 6, 1992 Mona married the love of her life Roy Lee Cornett. To this union one son Roy Lee Cornett II was born. Mona is survived by her husband of 32 years Roy Cornett, 1 Son: Roy Lee and his wife Brittany Cornett of Linefork; 1 brother: James Paul Sumpter of Kingscreek; 1 sister: Jolena Boggs of Isom; 3 grandbabies whom was the joy of her life Trinity, Kaleb and Memphis Cornett; 2 blessed neighbors: Roger and Cilla Fields and Billy and Iva Ingram; 2 special friends Terry and Terri.  Also several nieces and Nephews. Mona was preceded in death by 1 brother: Lester Sumpter and Brother in Law PeeWee Boggs. Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 21, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. at the Defeated Creek Church with Roger Fields and other officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at 6:00 P.M. at the Defeated Creek Church. Burial will follow in the Day Cemetery at Kingscreek, Kentucky.
