Norma "Gail" (Mullins) Tackett

Norma "Gail" Tackett, 70 of Thornton, passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Healthcare Center. Norma was the daughter of the late Fitchugh and Helen Mullins. She was the widow of Larry Tackett. Surviving is her longtime companion of 23 years: Billy Rose; 2 sons Larry (Bridget)  Tackett Jr. of Mayking and Jason (Tiffany) Rose of Georgetown; 2 daughters: Jennifer (Jimmy) Bartley of Sandlick and Cynthia Adams of Hazard; 2 brothers: Kenneth Mullins of Jenkins and Randy Mullins of Pound, Virginia; 12 grandchildren: Naketa Adams, Heather Stewart, Ryan Adams, Whitney Tackett, Keiston Tackett, Mckenna Halcomb, Kamerun Taylor, Madilyn Halcomb, Marinna Sizemore; Briton Halcomb and Kimber Rose, Bailey Rose and Bradley Rose; 6 great grandchildren: Keilan, Brantley, Bentley, Shade, Nathaniel and Rylan; special friend: Opal Sexton; special pet: Lil Pup. Norma was preceded in death by 5 siblings: Doris Mullins, Garland Mullins, Lloyd Mullins, R.C. Mullins and Grover Mullins. Funeral: 1:00 O'clock P.M. Saturday, August 12, 2023 at the Millstone Missionary Baptist Church with Bill Craft and Frank Adams officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Thursday at the Millstone Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Riley Bentley Cemetery at Deane, Kentucky.
