Norman George Sexton, 76, passed away Monday, August 23, 2021 at his residence. He was a loving husband, grandfather and great grandfather. He worked in the coal mines for 40+ years. He was married to his loving wife, Wilma Sexton, for 55 years. He loved fishing, being outdoors, and playing cornhole.
Surviving are his children: Joyce Whitaker of Low Gap Branch; 3 sons: Timothy (Callie) Sexton of Lowe Gap Branch, Ronnie (Moaneek) Sexton of Low Gap Branch, and Donnie (Amy) Sexton of Eolia; 1 stepdaughter: Angel Russell of Whitesburg; 1 stepson: Brian Taulbee of Neon; 3 brothers: Oliver (Brenda) Sexton of Eolia, Francis (Jan) Sexton of Eolia, and Boliver (Jeanette) Sexton of Little Colley; loving brothers and sisters in law: Eddie, Rocky, Darrell, Junior, Mal, Lilly, Kathleen, Patty, Betty, Alene and Shelia; 10 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren.
Norman was preceded in death by his loving wife Wilma Sexton, his father John Sexton; 3 brothers: Larry Sexton, Kernel Sexton and Jerry Sexton; 5 sisters: Nora Logan, Linda Humphrey, Connie Cook, Stella Burns, and Maretta Caudill; 1 great grandchild: Braylee.
Funeral: 1:00 O'clock P.M. Friday, August 27, 2021 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Jack Howard and David Thomas officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Wednesday and 6:00 P.M. Thursday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Gibson Cemetery at Isom, Kentucky.
