Norman Sexton Obituary

Norman Sexton, 76, passed away on Monday, August 23, 2021, at his residence. He was born on September 30, 1944, to the late John and Minnie Gibson Sexton. He was married to his belated loving wife, Wilma Sexton for 55 years.

Norman was a loving husband, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He worked in the coal mines for more than 40 years. Norman loved fishing, being outdoors, and playing cornhole.

Norman is survived by his daughter: Joyce Whitaker of Low Gap Branch; his 3 sons: Timothy (Callie) Sexton of Low Gap Branch, Ronnie (Moaneek) Sexton of Low Gap Branch, and Donnie (Amy) Sexton of Eolia; 1 Step-daughter: Angel Russell of Whitesburg; 1 Step-son: Brian Taulbee of Neon; 3 Brothers: Oliver (Brenda) Sexton of Eolia, KY; Francis (Jan) Sexton of Eolia, KY and Boliver (Jeanette) Sexton of Little Colley. Additional survivors include his loving brother and sister-in-laws: Eddie, Rocky, Darrell, Junior, Mal, Lilly, Katheleen, Patty, Betty, Alene, and Sheila along with his 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at Letcher Funeral Home at 6:00 p.m. Services will be held on Friday, August 27, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at Letcher Funeral Home with Jack Howard and David Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Gibson Family Cemetery.
