Orville "Big O" Duane Sturgill, 50, of Whitesburg passed away Saturday, April 17, 2021 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. Orville was the son of Betty Ratliff Sturgill Frazier and the late Steve Sturgill. Surviving other than his mother is his wife: Angel Teralou Profitt Sturgill; step father: Bill Frazier; step brother: Ellis Frazier of NC; step sister: Tina Frady of NC; special aunt: Bonnie Hatton; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Ralph and Karen Profitt; brothers-in-law: Ralph (Patty) Profitt and Gary (Stephanie) Profitt; special flower girl; and his little fist pumper along with a host of nieces and nephews to mourn his passing. Orville was preceded in death by his grandparents: Arthur and Maxine Sturgill; Charlie and Lula Ratliff. Funeral: 1:00 PM Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at the Calvary Temple Church with Conard Profitt, Jabo Miles, Jimmy Dotson, and Tim Allen officiating. Visitation: 6:00 PM Monday at the Calvary Temple Church. Burial will follow in the Ratliff Cemetery at Kingscreek.
