Oscar Profitt Sr.

Oscar Profitt Sr., 89 of Low Gap Branch, passed away Saturday, April 12, 2025, at his residence. Oscar was the son of the late Taft and Callie Morton Profitt. He was the widower of Dicie Ellen Sexton Profitt. Oscar was a member at the Millstone Missionary Baptist Church. Surviving is 1 son: Oscar (Teresa) Profitt Jr of Low Gap Branch; 4 daughters: Wynne Sue Pfeffer of Arizona, Mary Elizabeth (Tony) Back of Low Gap Branch, Brenda Joyce Hayes and family of Kentucky, and Kathy Ann Hisle and family of Indiana; 2 brothers: Ralph (Karen) Profitt of Whitesburg and Jeff Profitt of Isom; 3 sisters: Mavis Kiser of Ohio, Marietta Ann (Sam) Collins of Thornton, and Cora Sexton of Harrodsburg, KY; 5 grandchildren: Amy Larsen, Matthew (Robin) James, Jeffery James, Josh (Vada) Watts, and Natasha (Bruce) Parson; 6 great grandchildren: Noah Larsen, Chloe Larsen, Nicholai James, Aiden James, Finn Parsons, and Vivi Parsons along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. Oscar was preceded in death by 5 brothers: Burchell Profitt, Bennett Profitt, Bobby Daryl Profitt, James Edward Profitt, and Billy Dean Profitt; 3 sisters: Mildred Bonnie Barnes, Shirley Profitt, and Linda Faye Gibson; 1 son in law: John Tate Caudill; step mother: Mattie Tyree Profitt. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 O'clock P.M. Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at the Millstone Missionary Baptist Church with Bill Craft officiating. Burial will follow in the Patrick Collins Cemetery at Isom, Kentucky. Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. - 10:00 P.M. Monday, April 14, 2025, at the Millstone Missionary Baptist Church.
