Patricia Ann Bolling, age 78, of Kentucky, passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord on May 24, 2026, at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center. Born on March 4, 1948, Patricia lived a life marked by faith, compassion, service, and love for her family and community.
Patricia was a devoted member of Milestone Missionary Baptist Church and carried her faith with grace throughout her life. She dedicated nearly 40 years to teaching, touching countless lives through her kindness, patience, and commitment to education, many of those years spent at MJP where she was deeply loved and respected by students and colleagues alike.
She had a special place in her heart for animals and spent much of her life rescuing, fostering, and adopting those in need. Her compassion extended far beyond people, and her love for animals was one of the many ways she reflected her caring spirit.
Patricia is survived by her loving daughter, Tammy Sturgill (Vernus Sturgill); son, Shaun Bolling (Amanda Bolling); grandchildren, Zachary Sturgill (Morgan Sturgill), Corey Sturgill (Victoria Otis), and Molly Bolling; and her treasured great-grandchildren, Piper Sturgill and Cooper Knox Sturgill.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Nellie Everidge, father, Jack Johnson; and step-sister, Janet Tucker.
Patricia will be remembered for her gentle heart, unwavering faith, dedication to teaching, and the deep love she shared with her family and friends. Her legacy of kindness and compassion will continue to live on through all who knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Patricia’s memory to the Kentucky River Regional Animal Shelter through PayPal at krrasrescue@gmail.com
