Peggy (Fultz) Maggard

Peggy Maggard, 86 of Whitesburg, passed away Monday, August 26, 2024, at the Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, Tennessee. Peggy was the daughter of the late Burl Fultz and Blanche Cloud – Fultz. She was the widow of James Maggard. Peggy was a loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother to everyone in her family. She was a member of the Letcher Independent Baptist Church. She was an award-winning basket maker, seamstress, and a dedicated Christian. Peggy was a homemaker who kept a warm loving home. Surviving is 1 daughter: Keitha Maggard of Whitesburg; 1 son: James Maggard of Whitesburg; 1 brother: Mack (Owana) Fultz of Thornton; grandchildren: Joshua (Monica) Flynn, Sarah (Adam) Morcher – Caudill, Brian (Kaitlin) Maggard - Riddle, Robert (Amy) Maggard, Krista Maggard; great grandchildren: Nathaniel, Shania, Anthony, Amber, Kelsey, Aiden, Joseph, Gabriel, Finley, Izabella; 1 great great grandchild: William. Peggy was preceded in death by her siblings: Kenneth Fultz, Donald Fultz, Burl Fultz (June), Charles Fultz (Tuff), and Patsy Ratliff. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2024, from 6:00 P.M. - 10:00 P.M. at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, August 30, 2024, at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Bill Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the J.R. Maggard Cemetery at Isom, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Letcher Independent Baptist Church.
