Phil Dexter Fugate, 84 of Mayking, passed away Sunday, May 7, 2023, at his residence. Phil was the son of the late Hardin Andrew Fugate and Hazel Lucas Slone. Surviving is his wife: Mary Morris Fugate; 3 sons: Phil (Margaret) Fugate Jr., Christopher (Deanna) Fugate both of Mayking, and Timothy (Gina) Fugate of Lexington; 1 daughter: Cynthia (Steve) Bolick of North Carolina; 2 sisters: Donna Harris of Ohio and Brenda Lawson of Virginia; 12 grandchildren: Jamie, Sam, Josh, Juanita Danyelle, Phil, Jeremiah, Gabriel, Jasmine, Shane, Natasha, Cayden, and Katanna; 13 great grandchildren along with a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. Phil was preceded in death by 1 brother: Hardin Andrew Fugate II; 2 sisters: Sue Naas and Linda Kincer. Funeral 1:00 O'clock P.M. Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Glennis Morris officiating. Visitation 6:00 P.M. - 10:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Haven of Rest Cemetery at Mayking, Kentucky.
