Phillip Dewayne Mullins, 77 of Milan, Tennessee, formerly of Partridge, passed from this life to be with the Lord, Saturday October 5, 2024, at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital after a long illness. Phillip was born March 27, 1947 in Pound, Virginia to the late Cecil Mullins and Mae Mullins. He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years: Vezzana Miles; 4 brothers: James, Jeff, Jr, and Paul; 1 son: Phillip Jr. He is survived by 2 daughters: Chandra Mullins of Milan, Tennessee and Amy Kilbourne of Somerset; 1 son: Anthony (Brandi) Lewis of Partridge; 3 brothers: Billy (Eunice) Mullins of Jeremiah, Butch Mullins of Pound, Virginia and Marcus Mullins of Fort Pierce, Florida; 3 sisters: Linda Kelly of Georgia, Lisa Boatright of Fort Pierce, Florida, and Polly (Marty) Schneider of Fort Pierce, Florida; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren along with a host of friends and loved ones. Phillip served in the US Army. Throughout his life, he was a heavy equipment operator, martial arts instructor, assistant chief of police for the City of Cumberland but his greatest joy came from the word of God. He was a preacher in the Church of Christ faith for many years. Funeral: 2:00 O'clock P.M. Saturday, October 12, 2024 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Ray Jones officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Friday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Family Cemetery at Partridge, Kentucky.
