Phyllis (Johnson) Pettyjohn, 73 of Payne Gap, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at her residence. Phyllis was the daughter of the late John and Edna Mullins Johnson. Surviving is her husband: Ernie Pettyjohn; 1 son: Bobby Pettyjohn (Lori); 1 daughter: Tracy Church (Randy); 2 brothers: Phillip Johnson and Johnny Johnson; 5 sisters: Amanda Johnson, Pauletta Taylor, Janice Taylor, Wilma Friett and Patricia Webb; 5 grandchildren: Courtney (Dylan), Sara, Donovan, Zak and Brooke. Phyllis was preceded in death by 1 son: Wesley; 1 daughter: Kimberly; 2 brothers: Robert and Bill; 4 sisters: Shirley, Josephine, Deloris and Betty. Funeral: 1:00 O'clock P.M. Saturday, April 15, 2023 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Friday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Whitaker Cemetery at Payne Gap, Kentucky.
