Ray A. Ballou, 79 of Mayking, passed away Monday, September 20, 2021 at his residence. Ray was the son of Ida Cassada Ballou of Mayking and the late Kelly Ballou. Surviving is his wife: Alene Polly Ballou; 2 sons: Kenneth Ray (Kimberly) Ballou of Bill Moore Branch and John Mark (Christy McHone) Ballou of Millstone; 3 daughters: Rebecca Alene Ballou, Sarah Kay (Ryan) Boggs, and Hailey Marie Ballou all of Bottom Fork; 7 grandchildren: Alyssa (Jared Bentley), Hayley Erin (Gage Mullins), Dylan, Madison HcHone, Kristiana (Justin King), Harley, and Carolyn Combs; Kendall (Caitlyn) Ballou 6 great grandchildren: Eli, Londyn, Harper, Karson, Kacen, and Kian; special friends: Greg Sexton, Scottie Thomson, and Herb Jones along with a host of brothers, sisters and other relatives and friends. Funeral: 2:00 O'clock P.M. Saturday, September 25, 2021 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Terry Walker officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Friday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Bill Moore Branch Cemetery at Bill Moore Branch, Kentucky.
