Raymond Lee Mitchell, 72 of Ermine, passed away Friday, February 20, 2026 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard, Kentucky. Raymond was the son of the late Edward and Betty Mumaugh Mitchell. He was the widower of Betty Boggs Mitchell. Surviving is 2 sons: Steve (Stephanie) Mitchell of Knott County and Rick Mitchell of Ermine; 1 brother: Larry Mitchell of Indiana; 1 sister: Cathy Mitchell of Decatur, Indiana; 4 grandchildren: Lillian, Nick, Zack and Colby. Funeral: 12:00 O'clock Noon February 23, 2026 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Darrell McBee officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Sunday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Boggs Family Cemetery at Ermine, Kentucky.
