Regina Lynnare Bates

Regina Lynnare Bates, 65 of Whitco, passed away Friday, June 12, 2026 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. Regina was the daughter of Bobby C. Bates of Whitesburg and the late Helen Joyce Miles Bates. Surviving other than her father is her stepmother: Rosa Bates of Whitesburg; 2 brothers: Ricky Allen Bates and Bobby Bates, Jr. both of Whitesburg; 2 sisters: Gretta Newsom of Berea and Valerie Bates of Georgia; nieces and nephews: Jeremy Bates, Brittany Reed, Chris Miles, Rylyn Newsom, Andrew Hensley Autumn Hensley, Ethan Coker; cousins: Mark Miles, Harold Trent, John Hopkins, Pat Adams and Pam Brashears. Visitation: 2:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M. Sunday, June 14, 2026 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel.
