Relon Hampton, 79, of Whitesburg passed away Friday, October 1, 2021 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard. Relon is the son of the late Willie and Elma Bowling Hampton. Surviving is his wife: Adeline Caudill Hampton; 1 son: Earl Bernard Hampton of Whitesburg; 1 daughter: Wendy (Tim) Thornsberry; 1 sister: Betty Ruth Hatton of Letcher; 7 Grandchildren: Mark Hampton, Brittany Bates, Ezikial Relon Hampton, Serenity Hampton, Timothy Thornsberry, Stephanie Hampton, Harley Hampton; 1 Great Grandchild: Konner Bates. Relon was preceded in death by 2 sons: Steven Brian Hampton and David Alan Hampton; 2 Brothers: Lettrell Hampton and Lige David Hampton; 1 sister: Bernice Hampton. Funeral 2:00 P.M. Monday, October 4, 2021 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Elwood Cornett, Danny Dixon, Rulah Whitaker, Ray Slone, Earl Combs and Homer Smith. Visitation 6:00 P.M. Sunday, October 3, 2021 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Hampton Cemetery at Doty Creek.
