Rickey Wade Day, 68 of Kingscreek, passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Healthcare Center. Rickey was the son of the late Butler and Panny Hogg Day. Surviving is his wife: Jill Ellen Shivers Day; 1 son: Wade Day of Sevierville, Tennessee; 1 daughter: Brooke (Chris) Whitaker of Sandlick; 1 stepson: Eric Ray Meade of London; 2 stepdaughters: Tracy Seals of Jeremiah and Stephanie Martin of London; 3 brothers: Roger (Priscilla) Day of Indiana, Tony (Alene) Day of Florida, and Ronnie (Cathie) Day of Lynch; 3 sisters; Shelia Taylor of Indiana, Millie (David) Banks of Cowan, and Judy (James) Jolly of Hazard; sister-in-law: Jowanda Day of Ohio; 5 grandchildren: Allison, Connor, Ethan, Drew, and Isaiah; 6 step grandchildren: Seth, Hunter, Megan, Auberny, Erica, and Elliott; 5 great grandchildren: Adrianne, Ace, Chiefton, Zander, and Jupiter. Rickey was preceded in death by 1 brother: Jimmy Day; 1 niece: Terry Fischovogt. Funeral: 12:00 O'clock Noon Saturday, January 15, 2022 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Jimmy Dotson officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Friday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the George Day Cemetery at Kingscreek, Kentucky. The family asks to please practice social distancing and masks are required.
