Robert Dean Amburgey

Robert "Bob" Dean Amburgey, 71 of Colson, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center. Bob was the son of the late Kelly and Flora Thomas Amburgey. Surviving is his wife: Shelia; 1 daughter: Marlene (Gary) Lowe; 1 grandson: Brandon (Amy) Lowe; 2 sisters: Dora (Trubie) Cornett and Anna Tyree; 1 brother: Rosevelt (Helen) Amburgey; special pet: Gigi along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends to mourn his passing. Bob was preceded in death by 1 sister: Wilma Cheryl Lucas; 1 brother: Carl Amburgey and his dog Sally Mae. Bobby enjoyed fishing and hunting ginseng. He always loved going to bingo, casino and scratching lottery tickets. He never met an animal he didn't like, but dogs were his favorite. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, either playing cards or just having conversations. He will be missed by everyone that knew him. Funeral: 1:00 O'clock P.M. Friday, May 10, 2024 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Glen Gross officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Wednesday and 9:00 A.M. Thursday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Gibson Family Cemetery at Pistol City, Kentucky.
