Ruth Combs Obituary

Ruth Velour Hogg Combs of Linefork was born May 21, 1926 and passed away on Monday, March 9, 2020 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her father and mother: Matt and Suzanna Cornett. Her husband of 50 years: Lyttle Combs; 1 granddaughter: Alicia LyVon Combs; 2 brothers: Ed Hogg and Buryl Cornett; 2 sons-in-law: Robert Frazier, Carl Bowling. She leaves to mourn her loss 7 children: Charlie J. (Sandy) Roark, Violet Sue Frazier, Matt McGee (Brenda) Combs, Linda Lou Bowling, Lyvonne Gail (Arvil) Dixon, James McClellan (Vonda) Combs, and Lyttle Combs Jr. all of Linefork. She is survived by 13 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. She is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation at Defeated Creek Church Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at 6:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M. Funeral will be Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at 1:00 O'clock P.M. with ministers Roger Fields, Danny Dixon, Elwood Cornett, Scotty Halcomb, Jim Fields, and Robert Holcomb officiating. Burial will follow in the Family Cemetery at Linefork, Kentucky.
