Ruth Gibson Obituary

Ruth Gibson, 85 of Whitesburg, passed away Thursday, January 6, 2022 at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Healthcare Center. Ruth was the daughter of the late Melvin and Ida Combs Frazier. She was the widow of John Gibson. Ruth was a member of over 30 years at the G Bennett Adams Church. She was survived by 11 nieces: Shannon Caudill, Darlene Baker, Carlene Collins, Judy Frazier, Renee Stamper, Cookie Frazier, Donna Sue Botts, Emma Botts, Debbie Botts, Pam Stoler, and Theresa Reid; 7 nephews: Jerry Tolliver, Jamie Baker, Mike Frazier, Craig Frazier, Butch Botts, Chester Botts, and Robin Frazier; 3 special friends: Teresa Sexton, Barb Frazier, and Doris Banks along with a host of great nieces, great nephews, relatives, and friends to mourn her passing. Ruth was preceded in death by 6 brothers; 4 sisters; 3 nephews: Pete Frazier, Tab Frazier, and Roscoe Frazier; 3 nieces: Patty Botts, Phyllis Adams, and Sandy Mullins. Funeral: 12:00 PM Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at the G Bennett Adams church with Cullen Caudill officiating. Visitation: Sunday and Monday 6:00-10:00 PM at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Frazier Cemetery at Premium, KY.
