Sherrill S Slone

Sherrill S. Slone, 77 of Jeremiah, passed away Sunday, August 1, 2021 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center. Sherrill was the son of the late Wade and Pinnia Mae Meade Slone. Surviving is his wife: Carla Slone; 1 son: Gerald (Jenni) Slone of Lexington; 1 brother: Meridith (Genevee) Slone of High Hat; 1 sister: Alma Jean Wells of Prestonsburg; 2 grandchildren: Alayna Grace Slone and Griffin Slone; 4 brothers-in-law: Ginger (Anna Lora) Adams of Letcher, Gary (Debbie) Adams of Jeremiah, Ted (Bessie) Adams of Letcher, and Terry (Pam) Adams of Jeremiah along with a host of special nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews to mourn his passing. Sherrill was preceded in death by 1 daughter: Shelley Melinda Slone; 1 brother: Gerald Slone; 1 brother-in-law: Sammy Wells. Funeral: 12:00 O'clock Noon Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Slone and Roy Slone officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Letcher Gymnasium at Letcher, Kentucky. Burial will follow in the Adams Family Cemetery at Jeremiah, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to the Sherrill S. Slone Scholarship Fund at Alice Lloyd College.
