Sherry (Back) Fugate

Sherry Fugate, 73 of Blackey, passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard, Kentucky. Sherry was the daughter of the late I.D. and Ina Rose Hamilton Back. Surviving is her husband: Allen "Doc" Fugate, 1 son: Allen Monroe (Melinda) Fugate, 1 daughter: Callie (Higgie) Higgins all of Blackey; 1 brother: Ronnie (Hester) Back of Blackey; 3 grandchildren: Ashton Blake (Devyn) Fugate, Reece Aldon Fugate and Ethan Wayne Higgins; special sisters-in-law: Yvonne Hall, Loretta Henrickson, Kaye Hampton an Wanda Howie; special companion: NeNe. Sherry was preceded in death by 1 brother: Tony Back. Funeral: 11:00 O'clock A.M. Friday, February 6, 2026 at Mt. Olivet Church with Elwood Cornett, Danny Dixon, Allen Fugate and Jim Fields officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. Thursday at Mount Olivet Church. Burial will follow in the Fugate Family Cemetery at Blackey, Kentucky.
