Shirley Louise (Cornett) Lucas

Shirley Louise Lucas, 87 of Sandlick, passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at the University of Kentucky Bluegrass Hospice Center. Shirley was the daughter of the late Woodrow Cornett and Lake Tyree Taylor. Surviving is 2 sons: Gary Taylor and Rodney Taylor both of Little Colley; 2 daughters: Jennifer Lucas of Sandlick and Selenia (Jerry) Sexton of Clay City; 3 brothers: Wendell Taylor of Campbranch, Kenneth Taylor of Daniels Branch and Winsford Taylor of West Virginia; 13 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren. Shirley was preceded in death by her 1st husband: Morgan Robert Taylor; 2nd husband: Lenzy Lucas; 2 sons: Randy Taylor and Harry Taylor; 1 daughter: Creeda Stallard; 2 brothers: Verlon Taylor and Earl Taylor; 2 sisters: Donna Adams and Gleeda Baker; 2 grandchildren: Misty and Zachariah; great grandchild: Asia; special grandmother: Armenty. Funeral: 2:00 O'clock P.M. Friday, May 3, 2024 at the Calvary Temple Church with Conard Profitt and Jabo Miles officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Thursday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Haven of Rest Cemetery at Mayking, Kentucky.
