Shurleen (Cook) Sexton

Shurleen Sexton, 58 of Cowan, passed away Thursday, February 12, 2026 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. Shurleen was the daughter of the late Bill and Connie Sexton Cook. Surviving is her husband: Joey Ison; 1 daughter: Katie Sexton (Freddy Mullins Jr.) of Cowan; 4 sisters: Melissa Cook (Joe) of Little Colley, Marlene Hall of Dunham, Elaine Adams (Jeff) of Premium and Teresa Comley of Colson; 3 grandchildren: Isaac Mullins, Ally Mullins and Eli Mullins; special nephew: Cody Hall; nephews: Shane Williams and Josh Blair; nieces: Courtney Costello, Hayley Adams, Tosh Adams and Madison Dunn. Shurleen was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Billy Sexton and Ricky Cook. Visitation: 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 21, 2026 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel.
