Stacey Lynn Helton, 50, passed away on January 23, 2026, at UK Hospital. She was born on April 18, 1975.
Stacey was a devoted mother, a compassionate caregiver, and a lifelong lover of music. In high school, she proudly played the saxophone in the marching band, and her love of music stayed with her throughout her life. She especially enjoyed the work of artists such as The Notorious B.I.G., Tupac Shakur, Michael Jackson, and Prince, whose music often filled her home.
On September 25, 2000, Stacey gave birth to her first and only, child, Alyssa, who was truly her whole world. Stacey loved her daughter fiercely and supported her wholeheartedly in all pursuits, including pageants and many other activities. She took immense pride in every one of Alyssa's accomplishments, celebrating milestones from high school to college and graduate school.
Stacey worked at Food City for over ten years before making the courageous decision to return to school to pursue a career as a Respiratory Therapist. Her dedication and compassion led her to work at Hazard ARH and J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, where she cared for others with skill and kindness.
An avid animal lover, Stacey opened her heart and home to her pit bull, Tony, and lovingly cared for her daughter's Chihuahua, Milo. Her gentle spirit and nurturing nature extended to everyone and everything she loved.
Stacey is survived by her beloved daughter, Alyssa (Joshua) Caudill, and her sister, Whitney (Owen) Helton-Parker. She was preceded in death by her mother, Glenda Rose Helton, and her father, Michael Ohara Helton.
Stacey will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her passion for music, her compassion for others, and the deep, lasting impact she made on all who knew her.
All family and friends are invited to a celebration of life service, which will be held at the Cowan Community Center at 5pm on Sunday, February 15, 2026.
