Stephen Ray Meade, 62 of Whitesburg, passed away Sunday, August 1, 2021 at Big Laurel, Kentucky. Stephen was the son of the late Ray and Deloris Ratliff Meade. Surviving is his wife: Mary Ann Smith Meade; 5 sons: Steve (Asia) Meade Jr. of Gulf Shores, Alabama, Bryan (Cynthia) Gover of Columbus, Indiana, Seth (Samantha) Gover of Lexington, Eli Gover of Lexington, and Isaac (Courtney) Gover of Lexington; 2 daughters: Megan (Brian) Douty of Fairhope, Alabama and Brooke (Tucker) Morris of Daphne, Alabama; 1 brother: Gary Meade of Virgie; 1 sister: Patty Fields of Pikeville; 8 grandchildren: Toby, Blakeley, Emily, Eden, Jonah, Dawson, Abram, and Collins; aunts: Julie Mumford and Ethel Halcomb. Funeral: 1:00 O'clock P.M. Saturday, August 7, 2021 at the First Baptist Church with Jack Howard officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Friday at the First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Pendleton Cemetery at Whitesburg, Kentucky.
