Sue was married to the love of her life, Edison Glenn Banks, Sr. on March 8, 1960. A devoted wife and mother, Sue dedicated her life to the service of others, especially her family. She worked previously at the Letcher County Co-Op and was a long-time member of the Whitesburg Lion’s Club until her health would no longer allow. She worked tirelessly alongside her son, Edison, gathering donations and working the booths at local festivals. She loved a yard sale and a good road trip with her family. She was a very gifted artist who loved to paint and do various other arts and crafts. She had a passion for Halloween and for dressing up in spooky costumes- often complete with gory makeup- and delighted in the startled reactions and laughter they brought. She loved using her creativity to bring a little fright and a lot of fun to everyone around her.
Sue, known lovingly as Gran to her grandchildren or G.G. to her great-grandchildren, will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
