Thelma Ritchie Halcomb

Thelma Ritchie Halcomb, 93 of Whitesburg, passed away Monday, December 4, 2023, at the Hazard Nursing Home. Thelma was the daughter of the late Bige and Eva Beverly Ritchie. She was the widow of Curtis Halcomb. Thelma was a member at the Mt. Olivet Old Regular Baptist Church. Surviving is 2 sons: Donnie Halcomb of Blackey and Ricky Halcomb of Redfox; 3 daughters: Sheila Walters (Danny Warf) of Whitesburg, Ann Halcomb of Blackey, and Laynett (Danny) Collier of Premium; 1 sister: Irene Watts of Cumberland; 11 grandchildren: Dwayne, Christy, Mark, Misty, Sonya, Tammy, Dusty, Brandy, Cash, and Axel; 15 great grandchildren: Katie, Hayley, Chloe, Tanner, McQuade, Makenna, Curtis, Markeyia, Hailey, Whitney, Shawn D, Bailey, Brady, Marley, and Mason along with a host of great great grandchildren and other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. Thelma was preceded in death by 1 son: Ronnie (Dude) Halcomb; 1 daughter: Brenda Gibson; 3 brothers: Austin, Guy, and Kajar; 1 sister: Clella West; 1 grandson: Brandon; 1 granddaughter: Misty; 1 Great granddaughter: Larissa. Funeral 12:00 O'clock noon Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at the Mt. Olivet Old Regular Baptist Church with Elwood Cornett and Danny Dixon officiating. Visitation 6:00 P.M. - 10:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Halcomb Cemetery at Blackey, Kentucky.
