Treston Hughes, 21 of Partridge, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2020 in Louisville, Kentucky. Treston was the son of Charles Hughes of Hazard and Marsha Shepherd Hughes of Partridge. Treston was a graduate of Letcher Central High School where he made a 35 on his ACT and played saxophone in the band. Treston had been accepted to the University of Virginia-Wise to become a Biochemist. Surviving other than his parents is his grandparents: Betty (Glen) Brock of Appalachia, Virginia, Waynard Hughes, Dorothy Shepherd, and Claude Shepherd of Partridge; stepmother: Patricia Hughes; 1 brother: Landon Hughes of Partridge; 1 step brother: Ronnie Noplis of Richmond; 2 step sisters: Sophia Noplis of California and Brandi Noplis of Richmond; aunts and uncles: Charles and Tammy Blair of Partridge, Timothy and Angela Brock of Cumberland, and Amy Shepherd of Cumberland; cousin: Briana Miles, Shelby Carter, Zoey Blair and Zachary Blair along with a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. Funeral: 2:00 O'clock P.M. Sunday, June 14, 2020 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Matthew Noe officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. Saturday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel.
