Truman Halcomb

Truman Halcomb, 83 of Jeremiah, passed away Monday, November 4, 2024 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center at Hazard, Kentucky. 

Truman was the son of the late John and Stella Griffie Halcomb.

Truman was in education for 35 years where he served as a teacher, Assistant Principal and Elementary Supervisor in Letcher County.

Surviving is his wife: Bobbie Sue Hylton Halcomb; 2 daughters: Patricia Karen Caudill of Jeremiah and Missy (Mickey) Cornett of Isom; 2 grandchildren: Dylan (Sydney) Caudill and Haydon Caudill and girlfriend Hannah Craft; special friend and caregiver: Shelia Swisher along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Truman was preceded in death by a son-in-law: Larry Caudill; 1 daughter: Teresa Sharon Halcomb; 1 brother: Dudley Halcomb. 

Funeral: 2:00 O'clock P.M. Saturday, November 9, 2024 at the Cedar Grove Old Regular Baptist Church with Danny Dixon and others officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Friday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Halcomb Cemetery at Hallie, Kentucky.

In lieu of flowers due to excellent care that was provided to Truman, donations are suggested to the Knott County Health and Rehabilitation Center.
