Varon Eldridge

Varon Eldridge, 76 of Blackey, passed away Friday, August 9, 2024 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Varon was the son of the late Dishman and Sally Couch Eldridge. Surviving is his wife: Shirley Sexton Eldridge; children: Mark (Bertha) Eldridge of Blackey, Mike (Georgia) Eldridge of Blackey, Scottie (Maggie) Eldridge of Campbranch, Varon Jr. (Melissa) Eldridge of Blackey, Teresa (Casey) Watts of Redstar, Nettie (Roby) Slone of Woodrock, Tiffany (Kevin) Slone of Woodrock and David (Glenda) Sturgill of Little Colley; 18 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; brothers: Mason, Kermit, Grant, Bruce and Benne; sisters: Etna, Maxie and Nellie. Varon was preceded in death by his first wife: Verta Eldridge; 4 brothers; 1 sister; 1 grandson; 1 son-i-law. Funeral: 2:00 O'clock P.M. Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at the Campbranch Pentecostal Holiness Church with Ray Begley, Grant Eldridge and Steven Ratliff officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Sunday at the Campbranch Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial will follow in the Family Cemetery at Blackey, Kentucky.
