Virgil Smith Obituary

Virgil (Roy Kennon) Smith entered eternal life Tuesday, January 18, 2022, being 89 years, 10 months and 13 days old. He was retired form the Air Force. He was the son of the late Dee and Ethel Whitaker Smith. He is survived by one son, Roy Kenon Smith, Lexington, KY, two sisters, Mary Jo Blair, Jeremiah, KY and Anna Lou Blair, Lexington, KY. Two grandchildren, Alex and Zac. Four great grandchildren along with a host of loving relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Billie Jean Pridemore and daughter, Christi Smith. Four brothers:, James Richmond, John Welch, William Douglas, and Tommy Harris Smith. One sister: Lillie Moss Hale. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Letcher Independent Baptist Church, 2349 Highway 7 South, Jeremiah, KY 41826. Funeral: 1:00 O'clock P.M. Sunday at the Letcher Independent Baptist Church with Bill Jones officiating. Visitation: 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. Saturday at the Letcher Independent Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Smith Cemetery at Jeremiah, Kentucky. The family requests for visitors to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
