Wanda Lene Watts Whitehead, 51, of Blackey passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Wanda was the daughter of Joy Watts and the late Green Watts. Surviving other than her mother is her husband: Kenny Whitehead of Blackey; 2 sons: Derrick (Krystal) Watts of Premium, and Wade (Jenny) Whitehead of Whitesburg; 1 brother: Wayne (Kim) Watts of Whitesburg; 2 sisters: Juanita Hensley of Clearwater, FL, and Sonja (Ben) West of Premium along with a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends, and family to mourn her passing. Wanda was a member of the Campbell's Branch Community Center Committee for 15 years, she was also a member of Letcher County Culture Hub, Blackey Improvement Committee, the Rt 7 Artisan Fellowship, Revive our Lower Letcher - Picking in the Park, and she was also an avid photographer. Funeral 11:00 O'clock A.M. Friday, January 17, 2020 at the Cedar Grove Old Regular Baptist Church with Elwood Cornett, Scotty Halcomb, and Danny Dixon officiating. Visitation 6:00 P.M. - 10:00 P.M. Thursday, January 16, 2020 in the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Whitehead Family Cemetery at Blackey, KY.
