Willa Dean Roark, 68 of Kingscreek, passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard, Kentucky. Willa was preceded in death by her husband: George Roark; her son: George Alford Roark; mother and father: Astor and Glenna Banks Fields. Willa was a long time member of the Kingdom Come Old Regular Baptist Church and was a true solider for the Lord. She loved her Church and her Church Family. Willa is survived by 2 granddaughters: MaKinley Roark of Nickelsville, Virginia and Victoria Ingram of Kingscreek; 7 sisters: Delana Cornett of Linefork, Darlene Maggard (Allen) of McKee, Marsha Shepherd (Johnny) Gordon, Debbie Day of Lexington, Hester Maggard of Whitesburg, Pamela Barley (Clint) of Jenkins and Margie Raleigh (David) of Cowan; 1 brother: David Astor Fields (Jennifer) of Premium and 1 very special niece: Cathy Ingram of Kingscreek. Her dog and best buddy: Max along with a host of other nieces, nephews, family and friends to mourn her passing. Funeral: 1:00 O'clock P.M. Friday, August 25, 2023 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Roger Fields, Wallace Bowling, Mikey Melton and James Pennington officiating. Visitation: 10:00 A.M. Friday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Gentry Cemetery at Roxana, Kentucky.
