Yvonne “Von” Campbell (Raleigh) 86 of Cumberland, Kentucky passed away on May 15th, 2026 surrounded by her family and loved ones. Von was born in Marlowe, Kentucky in 1939 as the eldest child to Denver and Callie Raleigh. From a young age Von grew up with a lot of responsibilities and putting others before herself—helping raise her siblings and babysitting younger cousins. If you knew Von you know she always had homemade jam to give, a story to tell, and was ready to make a table of food when she knew she’d be hosting. Von married her loving husband Winfred Campbell in 1963 and together they raised their three children, Wendy, Cindy, and Todd. There was nothing Von loved more than her family and her grandchildren—who called her “Nana”—were the light of her life. Von was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Winfred Campbell, her parents Denver and Callie Raleigh, and her brothers, Jack and Donald Raleigh. She is survived by her daughters, Wendy Christian (Curtis) of Richmond Ky, Cindy Campbell (Troy) of Rock Hill, SC, and son Todd Campbell (Michele), of Bothell, WA, sister Barbara Miller (Doug) of London, KY, and sister-in-law Janis Baker of Lexington, KY. She is also survived by six grandchildren Whitney Smith (Josh), Caitlin Cox (Steven), Eryn Sanchez (Miguel), Megan Bevill, Karis Campbell, and Dylan Bevill, six great-grandchildren, and countless other loved ones.
Her visitation will be held at Letcher Funeral Home on May 22nd, 2026 from 12 PM until 2 PM immediately followed by the funeral service with Dr. Curtis “T” Christian IV officiating. Burial will follow at Campbell Family Cemetery in Ulvah.
